Dr. Schmid is the owner of Dr. Della M. Schmid, PLLC in Newtown and has been in private practice as a Doctor of Chiropractic for over 26 years. In 2011, she received the Newtown Business of the Year award from the Newtown Chamber of Commerce and the Newtown Rotary Club. Dr. Schmid holds two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Human Biology from the National University of Health Sciences and the other in Physical Education from Ithaca College. In addition to her doctorate from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL, she holds a Master of Science degree in Biomechanics from the University of Delaware. She has earned 300 postdoctoral hours toward board eligibility as a Chiropractic Orthopedic specialist. Dr. Schmid is a former adjunct university instructor in diagnostic imaging, an EMT, a consultant at Leeway Hospital’s AIDS subacute facility in New Haven and a Research Fellow at the National College of Chiropractic. She has co-chaired the annual Newtown Health and Safety Fair since its inception in 1993 and is a member of the Newtown Chamber of Commerce, BNI Business Bobcats of Danbury, and the American Chiropractic Association. She is a former member of the Newtown Public Schools Wellness Committee, past Board member of the Newtown Chamber of Commerce and past President of the Newtown Business and Professional Women’s Club. Dr. Schmid has volunteered on the medical staff of the NYC Marathon and Nutmeg Games. She lives in Sandy Hook and has two children.

Dr. Evan Pitkoff received his Bachelor of Science in health science and psychology from Brooklyn College, Master of Arts in learning disabilities from New York University, a second Master of Arts in educational administration from New York University, and a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Columbia University. His doctoral dissertation focused on reducing teacher absenteeism.
Dr. Pitkoff spent the first decade of his career in the New York City High School division, serving in Brooklyn, New York as a special education teacher and assistant principal. Moving to Connecticut in 1988, he served as Principal of New Britain High School, Assistant Superintendent of the Hamden Public Schools, Superintendent of Schools for Region #10 (Burlington and Harwinton,) Superintendent of Schools in Newtown and in 2018 he retired as the Executive Director of Cooperative Educational Services (C.E.S.). He is a Past President Emeritus of the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents. Dr. Pitkoff is also a Justice of the Peace in Connecticut.

Paula Woodhouse is a Commercial Lender with Savings Bank of Danbury and is responsible for business development of commercial lending and deposit solutions for local businesses. Paula has worked in Commercial Banking for over 25 years. Paula is active in the community and in addition to being Treasurer for Kevin’s Community Center, she is also the Treasurer for The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut. Previously, Paula held the position of Treasurer for the Southern CT Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). She also was the Chairperson in 2013 and 2014 for the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk in Brookfield, where she raised almost $40,000 for the organization. Paula is a graduate of University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance.

Andrew has joined Wells Fargo Private Bank after 7 years as a Senior Vice President “Top 35 under 35” Wealth Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager at UBS. Prior to that, Andrew worked for 8 years as a Vice President Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley where he was a firm designated Rule 144 Specialist. In addition to the Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation, Andrew has earned the Certified Financial Planner certificate from New York University, and the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning. At the Wells Fargo Private Bank, Andrew is a Managing Director, President’s Council member Private Wealth Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager. His work focuses on structural solutions for the tax, risk, and leverage optimization of complex intergenerational portfolios including both liquid and illiquid assets.
Andrew and his wife, Barbie, reside in Miramar Beach, FL and Sandy Hook, CT with their daughter, Adamina, and son, Maxim. Andrew has served as an Investment Committee member and emeritus Director for one of the largest and most respected eldercare facilities in the country, Masonicare (501(c)3) of Connecticut, as well as the former Eastern Region Treasurer for the Metropolitan Opera National Council at Lincoln Center in New York. He now serves as a director for Kevin’s Community Center, providing free healthcare to the uninsured and underinsured. Otherwise, Andrew can be found on his motorcycle at the beach or traveling to share ideas and experiences with friends and clients.
